The actual final ever Prison Break.
Remember this will be a SPOILER review.
You might be saying to yourself, why am I reviewing new Prison Break when the show has officially ended? Well if you’ve seen the PB finale, you’ll know at the end it flashforwards four years and we find out Michael is dead. This special TV movie fills us in on the circumstances of his demise.
The “TV movie” picks up shortly after Michael and co. get exonerated. Michael and Sara get married in a very simple ceremony on the beach. While celebrating Sara is arrested for the murder of Christina and is sent to a women’s prison. She is looking at life in jail so Michael decides to do what he loves most and break Sara out of prison.

While in prison, Sara comes across Gretchen and a women known as “daddy” who is the queen bitch of the place, who has a wife and children, children being other women who she looks after. Daddy welcomes Sara into her family and Sara agrees because it’s the only way she’ll be safe. See General Krantz is locked up in the male Miami prison and with the help of T-Bag orders a hit out on Sara.

The FBI have a feeling that Michael might be trying to come up with a way to break out Sara so they offer Alex his job back if he spies on Michael and relays info back to them. At first he agrees but does the right thing and changes his mind. Alex has been a favourite character of mine and to see the change in his character over the show has been great. He’s the one that’s changed the most and for the better.

The real point of this special is to find out how Michael died and he didn’t die from his illness. He sacrificed himself to help Sara escape and this outcome was getting more and more likely as the show went on. Though we find out that he would have died from his illness so the sacrifice was just. It was a sad scene, I knew Michael was dead but the way he went was how a hero should go. I was never the biggest Michael fan, I find that he lacks charisma for a hero but he was hero, he was the main character of the show.
Geeky Thoughts:-
- Even though this isn’t my quote of the episode, I still have to mention it, General Krantz saying “If I had a list of all the people that might come to visit me, your name would be at the bottom. Somewhere below Jesus Christ and Scooby Doo.” Krantz was hilarious in that scene with Michael. It’s good to find out he has a funny side.
- This reminded me too much of Bad Girls, which is a British show about a women’s prison. The scene in which the women gets impaled on the hook is a prime example of what you’d find in that show.

Dare I say it but this special was better than most things in season 4. I was heavily entertained and it brought back memories of the first season. I remember ages ago that they were going to do a spin-off set in a women’s prison, if it was like this then I would have watched. The series finale was very disappointing but this serves as a better exit for the show.
Quote of the episode: Michael “We’re free now…finally. We’re free.”
Favourite Scene: The video recording of Michael.

I agree completly. I actually agree with the decision to kill Michael now and I think it was a fitting and superb way to end his charactor. These episodes are really needed to end the show and I’m glad we got to see them. Very good conclusion and I’m glad they ended it right with a proper conclusion. Bye Prison Break! You will be missed

Maybe Michael is not dead. We know that he didn’t appeared running after Sara, but we do not know exactly that he is dead, is not it?

I’m confused why are you kill Michael? He suffered so much with Sara, Lincoln,…..so they must have their freedom!especially Michael,he suffered from the beginning.I honestly telling you,I cried so much by Michael dead,it haven’t end like this.Michael must live!otherwise it sacs.Michael and Sara must live happy together.(for the writer) I like you Michael
and your groups.

I hate the ending. He shouldn’t died. I think even if they want to end the season they should not kill Michael. I believe the ending upset a lot of fans out there. If they let Michael live, and one day they decided to continue with PB it would be much easier. And i wish they do go on with PB. There are so much fans out would to see more of PB. I just finish season 4 but i already miss it so much.

The movie was good but it was really sad that Michael died, He started everything and went through alot to get his and lincs freedom but the directors and writers had to end it like that!
Alot of people will miss him and I’m one of them. =(

It is so sad to know that Michael is dead. I agree that they should not have let him die cause I have hope that PB season 5 will happen sometime in the future. I loved prison break. I am very very sad Micheal dies…they should have come up with a better end…what a waste…

I have not finished watching the series yet, but I already read some review and even spoilers about the ending. Honestly im very hooked in the series. Maybe there is a reason why michael died. Who knows they might have another season or I hope they film an alternate ending (for those who wants that michael is alive)

Yes i like kat-kat’s idea for an alternate ending. I think the ending had a 50/50 response to the fans. Half liked it, Half didnt. I personally fall in the latter and although there are some advantages of him dying i really believe there could of been another way to end the season without him dying. So it would be nice to see an alternate ending in maybe in a special edition DVD version of season 4 or something to see michael live just to keep the other half of us happy!

I was very sad but satisfied….they should make an alternate ending but not continue with the show…i believe they’ll just ruin it especially if michael isnt there. its good how it is & let it be what it is.

i think there’s still a continuation of prison break. michael’s body was not recovered so therefore he could still be alive. the ending is hanging somewhere in the near future something is about to happen. T-bag and the rest of the gang is still out there. i’m so excited of the next plot of prison break.cant wait to see. bravo!!!
p.s.
pls. dont kill the character of michael for it would be boring to watch without the brain taking everyone out of the maze.

For Christ’s sake and all that is holy, stop complaining about his death! It was a FANTASTIC way to end the series, and it was almost required! It is NOT a love story. If you want sappy love stories go and watch f***ing Disney and Taylor Swift, aight?
