Heroes – Season 3, Episode 15 Review

3.15 Trust and Blood

The running Heroes.

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

Things look positive, it’s certainly going in the right direction but I am starting to not really care.  When the writers keep delivering sub par material and the actors delivering substandard lines then it’s hard to really get excited about the show.  The greatest thing that has to be said is that the Heroes that are on the run will be working together.  Hopefully no longer will we see lots of stories going on at once.

The episode was basically Nathan talking on a phone, retelling the past 48 hours after the plane crashed.  Was the reveal of him talking to Angela supposed to be a shock?  It was pretty obvious who he was talking to, the device was silly and was not needed.  Nathan is slowly becoming the villain that I’ve always seen in him from the beginning.

We learned the gist of Peter’s power.  He can only take on one ability at a time.  He had Tracer’s ability but he now has Nathan’s.  What a handy device to create tension in the plot.  With Hiro having no powers, it’s also a way to confine them to actually running.  Though Peter doesn’t need to run, the flying ability should come in handy as long as he doesn’t touch anyone else.

The one thing that pissed me off and what seems to be typical of what to expect from Heroes is killing of a good character.  Yes they killed off Daphne and I couldn’t believe that they have got rid of her character.  All of the characters they’ve introduced from season 2 onwards have either been killed off or forgotten about.  There was no need for them to do that.   What a waste.

Sylar is still on the hunt for his daddy but comes across a kid who can melt or boil things.  A sort of a young protege for Sylar.

Sorry but I have to cut this one short I’m afraid because I don’t have much time.

Favourite Scene: Matt using his ability to make one of the agents kill his teammates.  Take that you bastards.

Quote of the episode: Matt “I want them to pay”

One Response to Heroes – Season 3, Episode 15 Review

  1. Sam says:

personally, i loved this episode. These past two eps have been far better than anyone in S3, (exclude Our Father). Although the writing has been cheesy, i’ve accepted that. I hate how they have killed every interesting character too! Maya was gone, although she wasn’t that cool she had so much potential. Monica could have become coold, but again the writers didn’t know what to do with her. Elle has always been a favorite, but her time in S3 was limited. Adam i was glad they killed. Boring…another CLaire…plz. Daphne was by far my favorite out of the new characters, but she was killed. Was this to make Matt’s story more of a revenge, cause we all know thats not gonna really happen. The writers will not know what to do with matt and make him see the future again.
I love how they are kinda veering off to S1 style agian, not writing quality, but plot quality.
